Some good drawings and paintings over the last couple of days with an autumn feel. Tessa, glad you’re back at art class and impressed with your drawing in just a hour or so. I’ve been to mine for the first time today but in three hours only managed a quick painting of flowers, mainly to try out some new watercolour paper, Claitfontaine Flamboyant. Drank lots of coffee and had a good natter though😀
Me too! Lovely flowers and I like the look of the paper.
Yes, I like the paper too. It works for me because it is quite forgiving and the paint doesn’t sink in too quickly.
My last sketch from Cornwall.  A view looking along the coast of the Lizard.
Nice sketch of the lady from your art group Tessa. Your flowers are really nice looking Katy and the paper look excellent seems to hold the paint well. Alan those cliffs are superb, I hope you will stay with us when your back home. From me today a very quick watercolour and pencil sketch. I might continue working on it and see how it developed, however I’m pleased with how it is at the moment.

Alan, I love your Cornish coastal view, and Dixie is right, you should stick with us when you get home. Dixie you are very good at your old motors!  I would also be happy with that even if you don’t go further. I picked up this leaf changing colour this morning and this is pen and wash.
No quite in the groove at the moment.  Lovely sketches and paintings from you all.  I revisited the old boat, not completely happy but much happier than the first effort.  No masking fluid on this one and although the sky is not quite right I am more pleased with the beach/pebbles on this one.  I am still going to try this as a full blown painting at some point as its a lovely image and a reminder of a lovely holiday. So wish I had had sketch book with me at the time.
Not made any contributions to this thread for a while but I can see by the work you are all putting in it's still going really strong  with some great sketches and paintings being produced.
Your leaf is excellent Tessa fabulous colours. Hilary what can I say other than your boat painting is brilliant and much better than the last one. Just having those few pebbles in focus around the old hull is making the scene , you should be really pleased with your self.
That’s really good Hilary, the boat has a real skeletal look about it. I love the autumnal leaf Tessa, it’s better than the real one! Another good rusty car from Paul, and a good sketch of coastal Cornwall from Alan. Mine is an ink and watercolour from my holiday photos. Not quite what I wanted so might do it again.
Thanks to all who have commented on on my series of Cornish sketches.  I’ll try to continue sketching more when I get home and contribute... but no promises.
