Hilary and Tessa, your sketches are really beautiful. I really enjoyed trying the sketching. Diane, I think you a made a great effort, my sketch went on sideways, I’m still trying to figure that one out.
My apologies for being absent for a while, moving into our new home took longer than expected (still so much to do too). Anyway, I have been following some fantastic sketches in the last couple of weeks and noticed we also have some new sketchers. To get back on the wagon, I tried to capture in pencil an essence of this tree, in our garden, that reminds me of the wind direction in these parts.
Myrtle trees are lovely, I wonder if you’ll get lovely blossom  colours in the spring. Mines a quick sketch of a mini pumpkin and some pine cones.  Halloween soon to be upon us, great for some spooky drawings perhaps?
Hilary, really liked the Welsh hills, your greens are good. Is that a home grown pumpkin? It’s definitely autumn now! However, to cheer us up lovely spring tulips in beautiful warm colours Tessa. Glad you’re settling in Ron with time enough to capture a lovely old Myrtle tree. I have a myrtle bush, I wonder if I let it go it will become a tree, or maybe a different type. I liked your first sketch Denise. If you edit your image before posting it should come out the right way, I got that advise from someone on here when I had the same problem. I liked your little sketch too Diana, but not sure about sizing a photo🤔I’ve got just one more from my holiday sketch book, somewhere in the Highlands en route, suitable for a dog to stretch and wee!
Whoops!
Ron, Hilary and Katy, all lovely sketches. I have been painting most of today but have done this little sketch of one of my brushes.

Oh, it's come out sideways! : (
I have tried resizing...let's see what happens!
Smaller, but still not the right way up. Just got to fix my profile picture now! x

A quick sketch from a photo taken this afternoon at a lovely riverside pub in Oxfordshire, a very pretty place. Even The Thames can be attractive this far out! We sat and watched canoeists back and fore.
Tessa, I think this is delightful.
Thanks Denise. It was such a lovely place which we found by accident, and for once I hadn’t taken a sketch pad!
