My apologies for being absent for a while, moving into our new home took longer than expected (still so much to do too). Anyway, I have been following some fantastic sketches in the last couple of weeks and noticed we also have some new sketchers.
To get back on the wagon, I tried to capture in pencil an essence of this tree, in our garden, that reminds me of the wind direction in these parts.

Hilary, really liked the Welsh hills, your greens are good. Is that a home grown pumpkin? It’s definitely autumn now! However, to cheer us up lovely spring tulips in beautiful warm colours Tessa. Glad you’re settling in Ron with time enough to capture a lovely old Myrtle tree. I have a myrtle bush, I wonder if I let it go it will become a tree, or maybe a different type. I liked your first sketch Denise. If you edit your image before posting it should come out the right way, I got that advise from someone on here when I had the same problem. I liked your little sketch too Diana, but not sure about sizing a photo🤔I’ve got just one more from my holiday sketch book, somewhere in the Highlands en route, suitable for a dog to stretch and wee!
