Hi Gillian, I have never done a sketch before, reading through the post's I was inspired to have a go. I though, If I could do even a basic sketch it could only help with my paintings. Here it is, I don't mind if you laugh, it was my first attempt at sketching and took maybe 5 minutes.

Denise for a first time sketch that’s great! Well done! My sketching often leaves a lot to desired, other times I am very happy! I have Parkinson’s so depends how it’s effecting me day to day. I have never been a great sketcher but trying to stretch oneself is the only way to improve!
I have just sat outside with sketch book and this is the result , pencil sketch with a little watercolour wash

Wow, what a lot to catch up on. Alan I hope this isn’t your last sketch here. Paul, Katy & Alessio thank you for your kind comments on the boat. Lovely autumn leaves Tessa, so real it took me a while to distinguish between the two. I really like yourpainting Katy, very atmospheric. Denise your sketch is great for a first time, hopefully will spur you on to do some more. Oh how I wish I was on your lovely patio Gillian. Ive been sploshing some colour around today, this was inspired by one of the welsh valleys we visited on my recent holiday and its more practice with washes and skies etc.
