Yupo for sheep

Comments

Very satisfying as is David

Thanks Heather - I do have to constantly curb my tendency to overwork a piece.

The textures from paper and medium are perfect for this subject. It’s really lovely

I'm not familiar with yupo - but I really like this painting. I don't think you should have gone for a greater contrast in values either, because these gentle harmonious colours really make you look!

I like this as it is David. Agree with you about Yupo, though, it’s hard to know when to stop, you can carry on making changes indefinitely!

Thanks Paul , Diana I value your approval greatly , Bobbie I'm not going to recommend Yupo - it's an acquired taste but being plastic it's tough and totally nonabsorbant and gives dramatic effects very rapidly esp with alcohol based inks , Jenny you obviously have some experience with it.

Very interesting way of portraying sheep.

Super satisfying, absolutely love it!

Like this a lot David, really nice effects going on.

This is really interesting David, I think the limited total contrast works well. I might give yupo a go!

This is great - again - David!

Like it a lot but never have tried it myself before.

Another yupo experiment in graphite and watercolour. 11x14". With yupo it's difficult to know when to stop as the option to wipe and repeat largely remains . Should I have gone for greater contrast in values or is this all over graphic approach satisfying?
