This is fabulous Martin - beautifully drawn. I too have encountered the Clumber swans!

Ha ha, love the backstory - and the very original angle.

This is a great piece of art Martin. It is so beautifully drawn.

I like the story, and your painting very much.

A girl with malicious intent! Wonderful work Martin

This is truly superb, Martin, and glad you continue to shre your flapjacks with the swans at Clumber!!

Lovely drawing and great subject Martin!

Delightful.

That's a cracker Martin and a great little story to go with it.

Love your painting and the story!

This is great Martin. It works really well.

Thanks very much for looking and commenting Alan Denise Dixie Val Christine and David.

Excellent Martin.

I love this. She's got you taped!!

Love the format Martin of your beautiful swan. I can remember feeding the swans at Clumber when they were taller than me!

Chris Bobbie Fiona. Thanks so much for commenting. Definitely got me taped. The swans at Clumber are pretty bold with humans as they see so many. They must seem huge to small children

Only just seen this, but ditto all the above. Really nice use of ink and wash.

Thanks Andrew. Appreciate that

Last autumn I posted a quick drawing of a swan from Clumber Park who had mugged me for my flapjack. This year I was sketching the cafe creepers when this young lady stood very close all the while eyeing me up and down muttering. I don’t speak much Swannish but I know a couple of words - Flapjack and where. I was able to work out what she meant and that her pal had spread the word I was a soft touch. Naturally I caved in and shared my flapjack. Fude pen and ink with watercolour on Canson wc paper 30x14cm
