Fantastic sketching Martin.

A really good sketch. (You mentioned the tooth…I’ve used Arches Not paper, but with water soluble coloured pencils. It becomes pretty much watercolour when water is added. So it was ok for me. Just started using Arches Smooth Hot pressed paper. Liking it. The paper takes coloured pencils, wet or dry, very well.

Did a pen and ink sketch of this iconic scene in August. Added colour in studio with Caran Dache coloured pencils which I had not tried before. The paper is Arches not which has a tooth and clearly affects the application by pencil.
