Ahh thanks very much Val.

Three tremendous posts, Tony. On this one I like the downward point of view, and we get that the man is totally self-absorbed. Beautifully painted.

I love the way you capture life in your paintings.

Many thanks Lewis, appreciate your comments very much, the angle did feel quite tricky to work on but a new experience to overcome : )

Thanks a million Richard, it was lovely to read your comments : )

Tony, another brilliant painting, I really like your observational skills, a story in everything and so well painted (that seagull addition is fantastic)

Thanks a million Heather, such lovely words which were a joy to read, have a great weekend : )

Another gem, Tony. Such character in the whole scene, and your paintings always get me thinking about the story behind them. A lovely delicacy in the washes again, and superb drawing.

Beautifully observed Tony.

Have admired your paintings, Tony. You've got a style all of your own, very distinctive.

Love the muted colours in your distinctive style, Tony (and the narrative behind your paintings).

Love this Tony, it says a thousand words.

Very skilfully painted Tony, hope the seagull didn’t attack!

This shouts freedom to me Tony. This fellow is content with his life and the world and perhaps the birds see him as a kindred spirit. Sharing in that moment when you have all you need around you. Great painting and narrative.

Superb...and a special favourite Metallica song of mine!

Thanks Paul, you’re a diamond : )

Thank you Ann, i was really chuffed to read your comments, they are lovely.. have a nice weekend : )

Thanks Stephen, no the seagull flew around me after above my head as i had a bag of chips in my hand : )

A huge thanks Russell, i really appreciate your comments : )

Thanks a million Fiona, your words were lovely to read, yes i sensed tbis chap did not have a care in the world and seemed totally contented with things.. i think these are the nice bits about being an artist where we feel it and can record the moments on paper : )

Thanks very much Thalia, yes it’s a fave song of mine too along with fade to black by Metallica.. : )

Great perspective and composition, well done.

One sunny evening whilst having a stroll on the steps at the beach i walked towards this chap playing his guitar whilst singer, only quietly as though he was rehearsing a song, strangely there were seagulls flying closely above him, then one swooped at his head just inches away, well.. not a single flinch from this chap, just still quietly singing, with his beer, guitar and not a care in the world,
