My favourite part of the day

Another absolutely beautiful painting. I really like the way you paint.

A beautiful tender narrative and painting Tony. I didn’t get to meet my Grandma’s, probably the reason I can’t knit! Looking forward to your next story.

Ahh thanks a big heap Paul, such lovely words and the same to you our chap with your infectious style of art.

Thanks very much Fiona, you cant knit ? I’m disgusted !! 😬 Just kidding... i appreciate your lovely comments.

Fabulous work Tony, I love that light shining through the blouse draped over the chair.

Wonderful painting, Tony - she looks contented after a busy day.

Delicate and subtle colours and tones. Great.

Beautifully done - a lovely painting.

I’m a demon at crocheting though. My dad had a draw full of ties, all shapes, sizes and colours! Don’t, quite, remembering him wearing one......

Thanks very much Russell, it was great to read your comments, it was kind of tricky tackling that blouse 😊

Many thanks Maureen, she does look contented and relaxed, i nearlly dosed off painting it 😃

Thanks Stephen, i really appreciated your kind words 👍🏼😊

Thanks a million Margaret, it was nice to read that 😊

Well.. if you can crochet thats half the battle i guess Fiona and a demon crocheter too 😃 I dont even know if i spelt that right lol

Thanks very much Anna, it was nice to read your lovely comments x

very expressive. A narrative without words. Great details and it is the best part of my day to.

Story telling and painting at it's best Tony

Thanks very much Sandi, i really appreciate those kind words, have a great weekend 😊

Much appreciated Heather, thanks for those lovely comments 😊👍🏼

Wow such a lot going on in this wonderful painting Tony, love the old lady crocheting, something I used to do a lot of learnt from my granny.

And a priceless expression, what I often do when I'm trying to thread a needle. This would look perfect in a fairy story - all that detail.

They get betterer and betterer, Tony! Keep'em coming! Just loely!

Thanks a million million Linda, it felt like alot to get done whilst painting.. i might start doing simple things like an apple still life.. less work and pressure lol

Thanks heaps Marjorie, your comments are so lovely, i know what you mean about the needle face lol... one of my big hates is to thread a needle. I think really the needles need to be javeline sticks 😊

Thanks a big bunch Thalia, i loved reading your comments. 😊👍🏼

Well i guess we’ve all had or have a grandma that could teach us a thing or two, plenty of stories to tell and likes nothing more than to bake for the family or visitors, then getting the house in order to free up her time in the afternoon for her favourite drink, snack and a spot of knitting. Here’s my watercolour of a contented traditional grandma who’s just got to her favourite part of the day, with her hot cross buns and a mug of tea she’s in her element enjoying the next phase of her knitting.
