All’s quiet in the village

Comments

Another excellent image, Tony - beautifully observed and executed.

Ahh, thank you very much Margaret, it was really lovely to read your kind comments. 😊

I have visited this place, beautifully done, I love it !

Yes Tony you’ve certainly captured the village look but as you say it’s normally heaving with tourists. Beautifully done scene of English village life, though I think Stratford is a bit bigger than a village these days!

Up to your usual high standard Tony, really like it.

Nearly missed this Tony. Love your use of mediums and acutely, observed, details. Was there very recently as one of my sons is an actor with the RSC. A charming place, as you have portrayed here but there is also a great feeling of nostalgia permeating the atmosphere and that is what makes this painting very special.

Superbly drawn and painted.

Wonderful detail and full of interest

I also almost missed this. Fine work perfectly rendered Tony. My mind was changing the clothes and details to 1814 with a horse-drawn cab coming into view.....Lovely.

Brilliant painting Tony, and up to your excellent high standard. So much detail it certainly tells the story. I could see your paintings in story books, and they would be highly appreciated.

A brilliant drawing/painting Tony, fantastic buildings and a wonderful scene of everyday life.

Thanks very much Kw, appreciated 👍🏼

This is my ink and watercolour painting of a street in Stratford Upon Avon, i stayed overnight on a visit and this is a capture of an early morning stroll, a few people shopping and chatting but quietly, it was very calming.. a rare thing as Stratford is normally full of hustle and bustle. Painting drawn with waterproof micron ink pens.
