Shakespeare’s ghost

Brilliant sketch Tony. Loved “My Favourite Part of the Day”. Couldn’t add comment as it was on your studio wall. The amount of intricate detail so delicately rendered is breathtaking. Your acute observation for capturing those special moments is staggering. Thank you for being such an inspiration Tony.

So so good Tony

Looks as though you went straight in with the pen Tony, all the lines are so clear - impressive. Do you make tiny points of reference?

Ahh Carole, these words were so lovely to read, i really do feel chuffed and thank you so much. Your work too is an inspiration and its great to share with people who have the passion for art. I’m still unsure whats going on with the studio wall thing but will check it out !? have a great weekend 😊👍🏼

Thanks a bunch Heather, very much appreciated. 😊

Hi Marjorie, well to read such lovely comments from one such as yourself with addictive an amazing drawing skills i feel very chuffed. Thank you very much. I do tend to go straight in with my drawing as for me it feels natural to do it but yes i do always make points of reference ie: for perspective angles, height, width etc. For this drawing i made small marks for the top and bottom of his head, chest & waistline, knee and floor area, it helps me know the anatomy will be in order. Have a fab weekend Marjorie 😊

Fantastic drawing Tony, I saw one of these "statues" in Stratford -on-Avon, they are amazing and you have captured Shakespeare so well.

Very effective Tony and a super drawing.

Thanks a million million Paul, have a fab weekend 😊

Aww thanks Linda, it was Stratford where i saw this too. Your words are very much appreciated. 😊👍🏼

A massive thanks Fiona, have a great weekend 😊

On a visit to Stratford upon avon ( england ) i saw this guy posing as William Shakespeare in the form of his spirit, dressed purely in white with a face mask that looked as if there were no eyes i just had to have a go at sketching him. ✍🏻
