Lovely shape Tessa and very delicate looking. I’m to ham fisted to do anything like that .

It's great you had a try at it Tessa. I'm self taught in it and have spent over a year studying it and practising the brushwork and continue to do so. It is a difficult discipline to get a grasp on. Look out for my tutorial coming up sometime in the New Year in the Studio Membership Tutorials area.

Thank you Dixie and Denise. I know you have studied this Denise, not sure I have the patience or the desire but I like to see others’ work. It’s partly a way of life thing isn’t it?

Very elegant Tessa.

I do hope you were taught to hold your brush correctly Tessa… you had fun.

Thank you Carole and Sylvia, yes we were indeed! Not easy to make your head and hand do so differently. 🤔

Interesting experiment, I need paint too!

Thank you Heather. I definitely agree!

Looks pretty good to me Tessa. Like yourself, I don’t think I have the patience.

We had a session at our art group this morning being shown the very beginning of using Chinese brushes etc.. very interesting but it made me feel like I’d been given a tennis racquet and a few balls and sent out to play Andy Murray if that makes sense!! Apparently the Chinese study lettering for four years before being let loose. Fascinating background but I think not for me. I wanted to add paint!!
