Lovely sketch, Tessa.

Fabulous contrast Tessa, what an interesting place and a lovely sketch.

Interesting place, sounds like the owner of the estate is building his own mythology. Great, I wish I had room for one in my back garden.

Strong and bold sketch Tessa, the mixed media has worked well 😀

Great sketch, Tessa

Nice bold sketch, Tessa, I like the pen work.

Thanks so much Cesare, Alan,Lewis, Linda, Thalia and Jenny for your kind comments. Lewis I also wish you had a hermits cave in your garden, I can imagine the characters who would emerge from it! If you see this perhaps you would draw me a hermit and his pals!?

Very interesting Tessa, it looks great and will make for a good larger piece.

I like this Tessa, I can see you doing something wonderful with this sketch.

Thank you Margaret and Fiona, yes I’m looking forward to painting it, possibly at the scene, though it’s a bit of an awkward spot to set up!

That’s really mysterious - great

Very good sketch Tessa

Thank you both Rachel and Dermot.

Lovely sketch Tessa. Looks intriguing!

Thanks Dorothy. I’m hoping to get back there soon to paint it, just waiting for the weather to warm a bit!

This is a mix of pen, pencil, inktense and crayon, and will hopefully be worked up into a larger painting. Great contrast between the dark inside and rocks surrounding the cave.
