Wisteria arch at the national trust gardens? It's very good.

I love those paintings that create an arch, well done

You have done a cracking job with this Tessa , it’s not easy to get an archway to look good , but you have certainly succeeded.

Lovely painting Tessa.

Many thanks all, yes the pergola arch was tricky! Claire I don’t think it is National Trust but will check the book.

That is beautiful, Tessa!

Tessa, I like it. It doesn't look finished to me. I hope you don't mind me saying. Constructed criticism has always brought my art along in bounds and waves. I think if you have spent three weeks on it a bit more time is neither here nor there. Put it away for a couple of weeks. Come back to it. Engaged with it a bit more. Patience is difficult but can improve results tenfold and this I say from experience.

Beautiful, Tessa!

Thank you Denise. Yes I agree and did say I will probably do more but needed to put it away before Christmas stuff takes over! I don’t mind you saying at all as I know I’m not done with this one.

Many thanks Martin, David and Anne.

Lovely work, like it a lot !

It's a beauty Tessa and all those hours of work have paid off

Excellent, Tessa

Thank you Valerie, Heather and Thalia. Much appreciated. x

Lovely work Tessa

Thanks so much Bobbie and Shaun. 😊

I like it very much Tessa, but if you return to the painting be careful not to overwork it!

Water mixable oils on mdf board approx A3. Brushes and some knife. Another Cotswold garden composition from an idea in a recently purchased book of gardens in the area, many of which are not open to the public. This has taken about three weeks and I’ve put quite a lot of hours into it. I’m not sure now it’s finished, May still do more, but wanted it off the easel! Hope you like.

About the Artist
Tessa Gwynne

I have returned to painting over the last twelve years or so, having relocated from Cardiff to the Cotswolds in 2009 and joined the Guiting Power Art Group. Although I did a year's Foundation Course at art college after leaving school, I hadn’t painted much in the interim, except for a few attempts…
