What caught my eye with this delightful painting is the expressions on the doors, absolutely brill...even if it wasn't intended. Love it :) I think, Carole has summed it up nicely 'living breathing feature, I agree.

Oil on board 12”x10”. This was a commission for a friend’s birthday, therefore not my choice of subject and an interesting challenge. It was worked up from photos and I think I’ve made it more “cottagy “ to give more character.
