Oil pastel & gouache on Bockingford watercolour paper. Entry for the monthly portfolio in Artists & Illustrators mag. The theme is "reds." Red is associated with strong emotions, so went for a "haphazard" approach. Added slashes of dark blue & purple pastel & dashes of black, since these colours are also associated with emotions. And I needed to break up the reds. Originally entitled this work "Rage", but this seemed too negative, whereas "passion" can be both negative & positive.
