hmmmmmmmm i am not too sure what to think :-) i am thinking gothic. I can see the word homeless which makes me sad, as homelessness is upsetting. I think you painted it very well. :-)

i had another think about it, and i am now thinking 'caged in' perhaps the homeless person is feeling caged in?

The clue's in the title, Rebecca. The painting's all about the paradox between construction and destruction. There's a wanted ad from a property developer and a young homeless man, who probably won't be able to afford to rent, never mind buy, anything the developer builds, because most developers are only interested in profit, not in providing decent, affordable housing. Therefore, one life destroyed by construction. Construction can destroy lives in other ways, when it's in the wrong place.

21x30cm. Surface: gessoed thick cardboard. Construction & destruction are not always opposites. Both can have either a negative or positive impact on human lives, depending on the circumstances.
