I very much like this picture, Susan. I don't see a 'vast area of white' as there are all sorts of colours going on within the texture of the piece. It's just very pleasing to/on the eye.

Thank you Maureen. I just hope the gallery, which is running the exhibition that this painting (along with 4 others) is being submitted to, also like it!

Surface: natural canvas. Media: gouache; texture gels; wax crayon, oil & soft pastels; mulberry paper; leaf skeletons; sugarcraft lustre. Subject: patterns & textures of nature. This is the first time that I've used such a vast area of white! Bit scary!
