An excellent painting ,Bob. Lovely juicy washes on the righthand tree, and the strong mauve shadows on the stubble enhance the sense of sunlight

Thank you for your kind comments folks. Tim has another on line workshop next week which I’ve signed up for. The view is of Weymouth quay, and I’m sure to learn from it as at first glance the scene looks REALLY cluttered!!

A watercolour done after an on line workshop by Tim Wilmot a couple of weeks ago. I love these pastoral views. I like Tim's style of watercolour painting, which is looser than mine, and his courses are very practical. My aim is to improve my ability to simplify a view that at first glance would be overlooked as too cluttered for a watercolour. Tim is excellent in doing that...even though sometimes I think " Oops, this will never make a painting", usually he proves me wrong...a great skill to have.
