You're sure this is the right way? Only where are the footprints and trail-markers?

Hashers

Very good Robert and we all like a bit of nonsense. I can't imagine cross country running combined with beer, did they ever finish the race.

Hashing isn't really about racing - it's a pub-crawl, with a bit of running involved. To actually race would be to go against the principles of hashing. It's a somewhat strange hobby.

I think there's no nonsense regarding the art word 😊 I like this painting AND THE TITLE! 😉

Very Enid Blyton. They look like they are up to no good. I like it.

A good bit of nonsense!

I like this a lot. It's wonderful to get lost while you're out and about!!

I like the Enid Blyton comment! Yes, there was a bit of Five Go Camping on Kirrin Island about my late landlady, one Pat (that's her on the right) and Chris. Pat carried on hashing into her late seventies - she was nearly 90 when she left us, and would have lived longer I think, were it not for her incredible work ethic: there really does come a time at which we have to slow down and take it easier - the irony is that I suggested that to her, shortly before she suffered a major stroke. If in doubt - take it easy! I've seen workaholicism too often: it does you no good in the end.

Makes me think of Carot; French figures in a spar e landscape. Or is it 🥕,because of the colour. But my spelling is not very good - who is to tell?

Love the painting and the title, I'd never heard of hashing, must be just an English custom that never made it out here.

A little bit of nonsense for you. This is an old drawing I found in a sketchbook - and not a good one, either. I did it as a sketch for my landlady, who at the time was a "hasher" (cross country running, combined with beer). I've done what I could to correct the bad drawing, and painted it with gouache. Note: I avoided hands!
