A very atmospheric piece, Robert, with a lovely palette.

The water is super, love the light dancing across, a lovely scene with great depth

love that movement in the water...great memory .

Beautiful scene and painted with wonderfully light and delicate colours. The glow of light off the water is superb.

I hope you know what I mean when I say that you have captured the fullness of the water Robert. A lovely memento of a long ago holiday :)

A good bright scene for a lovely movement on the water. I also like your sky with the brightness illuminating the water.

Just lovely Robert.

I live about 200 hundred yards off the Thames and I just love that river. It has several faces depending of the season of course and your image of it is a happy one. Sunshine, waves, lovely trees and beautiful colours. Super painting Robert!

Lovely painting. Great water.

Up-river somewhere. How far I wonder? I did my postgraduate at Royal Holloway in Egham, near Runnymede and your painting is achingly evocative of certain breezy anorakky days in the meadows there. Where to go? Windsor Great Park or the Beehive? Perhaps the latter - just this once (if only to prove that beer is so much more than a mere breakfast beverage...). Lovely understated piece. How big I wonder?

We took a holiday on the River Thames around 50 years ago - and this is taken from a black and white photograph I took at the time. Done for an art-shop demonstration to try out Winsor & Newton's Artist canvas board, 8 inches by ten. Oh, and I've tickled it up a bit since this was taken... but not much.
