Val, I don't see any failure.....the flowers show up beautifully against the bead textures, as well a the harmony of colours.

I wish I could see this "for real"Val, I'd love to see the beads.

Thank you everyone for your confidence boosting comments. Maybe I should forget the image I had in my head which I couldn't transfer to my brush and accept it as it is, though I think it would pull together a little better if I'd done the background with the beads a different colour. Oh well, we learn by our mistakes :)

I like the semi abstract quality of it, Val. The ethereal, other worldly background really highlights the flowers.
