As I said to Carole' fancy seeing you two on here side by side!' Love Hellebores but mine are almost over now. Lovely composition Val and you're not so bad at painting leaves either!!!

This looks so professional Val, like a page from a botanical book. As Debs says the composition is great. Us flower girls must think alike visiting the nurseries ;o)

Another brilliant botanical painting to compliment Carole's primulas. Beautiful!

A lovely study Val - very delicate. I really like the true to life greenish tinges in the flowers.

Lovely. They look better than my ones in the garden!

A really beautiful study of Hellebores Val!

Love this Val ! Wish I were good at flowers as we have a huge clump of Helebores which have never been so beautiful. I stop and wonder about having a go every day! Beautiful colours in your painting.

Lovely work, Val! So elegant in its simplicity, and such beautifully pristine washes.

Many thanks ladies for your lovely comments, much appreciated.

Beautiful botanical painting. My hellebores are all in flower at the present time and they are such wonderful heralds of Spring that they are a joy to see. I think you have captured the essence of these lovely plants superbly - great work.

My favourite spring flower Val, even more so, painted by yourself! Beautiful.

A Hellebores painted very quickly from life. Bought from the garden centre yesterday my husband was wanting to plant it this afternoon, hence the rush. The flowers aren't fully open on it so I'll have to try again sometime. Hopefully the weather will start to get warmer and I can sit in the garden to paint it next time and ,with luck, make a better job of it LOL
