Nice one John, love that foreground.

Very happy sunny painting John and great to see you back again.

You've got me singing now John - one of my favourites from infant school. This seems to me like pure enjoyment of paint.

Thanks Alan, yes the foreground makes it and give the sense of depth. Thank you Sandra. I never really go away its just other things need attention from time to time. Thank you Marjorie, yes it was Cat Stevens who did that one. It came to mind with this little piece.

Lovely soft effect here, the foreground grasses seem to be dancing in front of the the stillness of the background. Can't help feeling the big tree has a mushroom cloud shape, which gives another dimension to the work.

Thanks Stephen. Actually I have painted that mushroom clump many times, in different seasons. A love of mine that little clump. It’s actually a small copse of trees extending further back.

One of my favourite hymns from school days, a long long time ago 😀, it says it all in your painting, it's beautiful 😀

Thank you Linda, one of my favourites as well. All new everyday.

lovely work John you have captured the early morning light beautifully .

Just simply beauty at its best. Early morning...the very best time of day! Love your foreground marks, John!

How lovely this looks John, the foreground is so bright and beautiful!

A joyful painting John, makes one want to sing that beautiful song on opening the curtains on a beautiful sunny morning.

That’s got me humming now John.....love that foreground texture.

Oil on canvas board. 7x5 inches. Oil thinly applied with a bit of scrub and scratch in the foreground. Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing Praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world
