It's worked = the green glaze, the darkling sky, and your buffalos/bison. I should bet - though could of course be wrong - that you're now itching to paint something brighter; tends to be how these things take me. On the pain front - it's such a nuisance: I've been painting in oil for several days on end, and now can hardly lift my right arm above shoulder level - so my advice to you is: paint on, but when it starts to hurt, take a rest!

I agree with Robert it worked so well ,I don’t think it’s to dark it’s very much a late sunset. You have drawn and painted the Bison beautifully, the whole painting is a delight, it would look good on any wall.
