Thanks very much Russell, Heather and David. Russell, I used a combination of life and a reference photo I took for the pose. His face is jet black so very difficult to pick up detail from the reference photo I took. I spent a couple of hours over 3 days getting the detail from life, picking up the subtle details in his face in the natural daylight. I might do my other two dogs now.
