I always look forward to seeing and getting pleasure from your work and usually look up the chuches in Simon Jenkins' Englands 1000 best. Doesn't cover Wales unfortunately.

Another strong painting, with a great sense of movement - which I think is so important in creating a dynamic image. You always remind me of John Piper, but not because you copy or even particularly resemble his approach - it's more because of your original approach to colour, the atmosphere of your drawings and paintings, and the energy contained within them.

Thank you Sian - very kind of you! Robert - a very kind comment and I think you have hit the nail on the head. John Piper's work (and many others) has been hugely inspirational - studying his work has shown me not to be afraid to paint the way I WANT to paint, not just how I think others would like me to paint. Thank you very much for looking and commenting (as you so often do).

St Baglans's sits in the middle of an isolated and windswept field overlooking Caernarfon Bay, North Wales. Parts of the structure date from the 13th century, although the origins of the site are much older. In the care of The Friends Of Friendless Churches. Mixed media (ink wash and wax resist) on 230gsm watercolour paper. 14.5" x 10.5"
