Still worth a comment Marjorie, I think it’s looking better if that was possible the extra bit of colour and contrast obviously worked .

I like it very much. That turn in the path with the light… the wall texture is fantastic. Very interesting

Thanks very much both! And Paul, for commenting twice!

Well I obviously missed the first version Marjorie but I really like this one. I agree with Federico about that lovely autumnal light just around the corner, terrific work.

Beautiful Marjorie, I must have missed it first time around.

It does add more punch so very worth doing

Russell, Denise and Martin - thanks! I do feel it’s better than previously Martin , seeing it on screen picks up those little niggles. Yet again, if only we could just replace the photo…..

I like this very much Marjorie. Composition and tonally spot on. What's around the corner?

Now that’s the question George - I’d say a mediaeval bridge and a one- roomed overnight prison for drunks and rowdies.

Ah... so that's where the path is! It reminded me a of a path I used to walk along at the foot of my aunties garden in lovely Warkworth! Lovely work, Marjorie!

Thanks Anne, where did your auntie live?

They lived in Bank House on Castle street, Marjorie. ( Now a gift shop!) My cousin still lives in N/land though not in Warkworth. Lots of lovely childhood memories.

A very different atmosphere now Anne, I remember Barclays Bank, we used to bank there. A bank now is an oddity!

Absolutely no need to be sorry, this is really beautiful. The lovely colourful foliage, the curved path leading you into the light.

Love your idea for a prison Marjorie!

Sandra, it’s true! I was a little ambiguous, there is a mediaeval bridge and at the end, leading into the village, is a stone “room” where trouble makers were locked in for the night. I did a charcoal showing the bridge and the little prison recently - Robert asked what it was.

Sandra, the “room” is shown in “ By the Bridge”, a charcoal sketch. It’s what’s round the corner.

Superb! You really seem to be embracing your Unison pastels!

Absolutely no need to comment again but I had to repost. I didn’t feel happy with the first version so tweaked it. Soft Unison pastel.
