I like this SO much more than very careful, precise, near-photographic flower paintings with the obligatory spot of dew on the petals. These flowers are alive, bursting with colour, and reaching up energetically for the light.

Wow Robert! You've made my day. I did finish this on a high (after a fair bit of painting over!). A large painting, with large brushes, is so liberating. I tried to put some feeling into it and ended up buzzing!
