Said it on the Forum, repeat here: you're doing yourself down - this is an effective painting, and if you're doing it again, maybe shift that tree just a touch leftwards, and lose the fence.

I knew the tree was a bit central but I thought I might get away with it because of the light to the right.

Haven’t seen this on the forum Marjorie, but as it stands, good composition and colour and great depth to the work. Why so disappointed?

Frank, it was a photo Paul put on the forum last year…I’m trying watercolour again but this became muddy I think. Another go in pastel perhaps. Also, thank you everyone for your further comments.😄
