Thank you all for the comments. I remember dressing up in this and playing…can you believe it! I repaired it recently ( a bit of darning and gently pulling together). I look at it sometimes and can’t believe how old it is.

She came to England from Denmark in the 1860’s. I have this dress which she made by hand, It’s now very fragile and I store it away from the light. 60”x60” on linen canvas
