So lovely Marjorie…you have so much patience.

I used to love painting lace Sylvia. I might try it again but I think the result would be different.

Love this Marjorie, both for the painting and especially the stories behind the items. What is pokerwork? I've never heard of it before. It is a very pretty bowl.

This is lovely, treasured possessions which mean a lot. Love the way you’ve painted the cut out work on the tablecloth.

Sandra, pokerwork is pyrography - designs burned into wood. Tomorrow I’ll post a photo of the bowl beside the painting, the light isn’t good enough at the moment.

Delightful painting Marjorie!

A beautiful painting Marjorie, the lacework is amazing. Nice to hear old works like pokerwork , now everything seems to be and ology or ography .

A lovely idea for a painting Marjorie and the lace is superb.

No wonder you create lovely work, Marjorie, you live within a creative family. A delightful collection of memories you have painted.

Nostalgic memories superbly captured in watercolour! That lace is incredible…

What a delight and full of so many memories - that tablecloth is a tour de force!

Beautifully painted Marjorie. I like how the lacework leads the eye into the painting.

Beautiful Marjorie. The lace tablecloth is amazing.

Great work Marjorie, especially the lace. A lovely idea.

Oh wow that lacy cloth Marjorie, fantastic.

Such a delicate watercolour, Marjorie so skillfully done.

Wow another beauty 😍 Snowy is well. She's 3!! Big cat and Aspen is still tiny xx

Love this, it has a lovely feel about it !

A charming, nostalgic, collection of objects Marjorie and I so admire the dominant sepia colour. The lace tablecloth must have been a great challenge but the result is so lovely.

Lovely collection Marjorie, it has a mellow look….great cloth.

It’s lovely, Marjorie and love the lace, so difficult to paint.

It has quite a feeling to this piece Marjorie. Something more than if it was a work. If you see what I am driving at.

A charming and delicate collection - beautiful lace!

Thanks for all your lovely comments.

A few old things I would never part with - my mother’s pokerwork bowl, a photo of my grandma ( whom I never met), a photo of me in a rather nice frame and a little wooden bowl made by my husband in woodwork class ( he failed his GCE in woodwork but is very proud of this ). Watercolour, not recent.
