Oops! The cups are different sizes!

Tea for two....cha-cha-cha.....-(-:

Very elegant Marjorie. Tea is usually served in large, ugly mugs nowadays. Really like how the teapot is in the middle of the window panes. Great rhythm in this painting, like the song.

I think you have to stick out your little finger with these cups Carole! I know what you mean about big, ugly mugs - these cups are from a teaset , I don't use them but I can't get rid of them! No...I don't like horrible mugs but I do use " nice" ones 😊

Oh yes one is larger than the other one. You shouldn’t have pointed it out Marjorie. . Lovely spontaneous piece of work.

Large cup, small cup...large for male and small for... those who drink tea with elegance, taste and dignity! Common place, unfussy, un noticed...in a domestic way it's what Hokusai might have called 'The passing show of life'...Manga...not sure what Japanese is for 'Tea for two and two for tea' but as with your work, it's a fine art!!

Tea for two, and thank you for the invite, Marjorie. Love the teapot and your colours in this one.

Delightful Marjorie, your China is so good, and I love the little detail of The crinkly cloth on the tray and the colour reflections in the teapot, such fine observation which is what it’s all about!

Very good

Great painting and I love the colour palette too.

Great composition, colours....and song!

Love those touches of pink and purple and the fine ink - elegant and lovely work, Marjorie. Think it probably is a cha cha cha!

Lovely work Marjorie

I'm late to this one, Marjorie, but this is everything the others have said. The drawing details are excellent and your perspective and room corner lines are spot on and, Yes, I did notice the cup sizes, but honestly thought it was a deliberate ploy to emphasise the title. A daddy cup and a mammy cup. Delightfully subtle palette. Bri

Lovely composition, Marjorie.

Hope that's my favourite Marjorie, earl grey :) Lovely watercolour.

Thankyou everyone for all the witty comments! Gudrun - there'll always be cake!

Woke up it was a Chelsea morning!

I wouldn’t have noticed the cup. It looks like reverse perspective. I like the genteel palette which suits the subject perfectly

Thanks Diana and Linda - ha ha , like it!

Great Marjorie! Love this painting, could just do with one of those cuppa's.

A lovely painting Marjorie

Thanks a lot, Karen and Russell.

A little project for our art club tomorrow. Afraid I didn't have much time, but everyone will easily guess this!
