The Artist before she was famous by Marjorie Firth

I just happened to be around. Is this you with our teddy Marjorie just before you learn’t to cast on.? A touching image.

It’s a lovely sketch Marjorie, what was the teddy called .

Ha ha, the teddy didn’t have a name….and my mam taught me to knit when I was about 4 ( think I’m about 3 here ). I remember that I couldn’t understand why the line of knitting kept getting shorter.

I love this Marjorie.

Thanks John, Paul, David and George ( nearly the Beatles there!). Was looking for something relaxing but absorbing to do at the club this morning, this fitted the bill.

Fascinating to look back at how we were Marjorie. You look very young wise for a 3 year old.

Inquisitively looking, she is. Great!

Fabulous drawing Marjorie

Like this very much !

Wonderfully evocative, I think I have similar photos, this is a little beauty in more ways than one.

Hair like Shirley Temple ( although she was before my time, got to mention that) and I hated it. Can’t work out what happened! Even though I was told to “eat your crusts or your hair won’t be curly!

What a delightful selfie

Sweet and lovely with a rather knowing look!

That is so sweet.

Delightful Marjorie.

Adorable!

So well drawn Marjorie especially the way you've captured the folds/shadows in the dress.

Your were a cute wee thing Marjorie, not saying that you’re not still cute, by the way. 😉

Ha ha Fiona - I think we were all cute when we look back. Now? I think the word now would be….” old”….but still “compos mentis” ( hopefully, but you’d have to ask someone else about that 😆) Thanks everyone for looking and commenting, maybe it brought back memories 😁

Delightful, Marjorie.

Awww, this is so sweet. So perfectly drawn!

Hi Marjorie, it reminds me the Dylan Thomas' book: Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog (Ritratto dell'artista da cucciolo). Nice drawing!

Thank you Sandra, Romila and Cesare (🐶😁).
