Have to admit the palette knife has done its job!!!
Yes well done Marjorie it gives a more tactile quality

Oh yes Marjorie, 'messed up' but still distinct, great textures and movement....love it!

It's a great painting Marjorie, the feeling of the wind blowing, is amazing, Love it :)

Welcome to the mistake club

Hi Marjorie , well I think its improved this a lot its kind of more interesting now . I definitely think its much better than before . That's it .

Oh we all get this now and then ..... put it away for a while, do something else, then come back to it: and I bet you'll think you've said what you wanted to say and will be happier with it.

I like it - not too much detail, plenty of atmosphere, well painted boat, and what really transforms it into an interesting painting is your sea: it has movement, and it leads you in. I've seen just this sort of light in a coastal scene - diffused, quite "white", and I wouldn't do any more to the painting for fear of imperilling that look.

Thank you everyone - it's really kind of you to comment again. I can always tell who is writing the comment, even when it's through e-mail without a name. Everyone has their own particular style, in painting and the turn of phrase.

The knifework does give it an edge, Marjorie. It looks super.

There's a lovely summer feel to this!

Thanks Jenny. Haven't seen you around for a while.

Added a bit of knife, I've lost patience a bit now, enough.
