This certainly has a lot more zest than the oil pastel painting Marjorie. Everything glows more and the sheen on the fruit is lovely. I know oils have a much richer finish than the oil pastels but the OP’s have their place with preparatory work.

Michael, Ellen, Seok and Carole - I do appreciate your comments. Carole, I’m not sure which of the two I prefer - the oil pastels or the oil . I don’t think I could do a large study with the pastels….

Oil on board. Set up yesterday on wobbly cardboard box but it didn’t topple. Just enjoyed the process. Intention is to continue on this theme but more additions.
