SPEC TAC ULAR ! :-)

Waooo! Wonderfuly rich colours..... like it a lot ; plus the format.

Really imaginative use of colour and a effective format - I really like it.

Reminds me of the setting of the sun [ if I remember correctly!!] lovely work Louise!

Many thanks James, Avril, Julie and Debs. Debs, I'll probably change the title, I hadn't given it much thought as usual (lol)

There's a real fire in that sky (good title -Fire In The Sky?) The contrast between the hot and fiery colours in the sky and the distant landscape contrasts brilliantly with the cold and icy white of the little houses. Then we return to the coolness of the blue's in the foreground. This is like a sandwich of colours - cool and warm - which everyone knows is the basis of a successful painting. I also like the linear look of the composition. Great work, Louise!

I'd like to live in Naimian-Land - it looks exciting and yet somehow serene, both at the same time. That sky colour is particularly scrumptious - I wonder how you mixed it; you never got THAT in a tube!

Many thanks Thea and Robert! Sorry Robert, I can't give you the exact colours used. It started off yellow and then I got a bit lost! Mainly alizarin, ultramarine, burnt umber, burnt sienna I think and whatever else was on my palette at the time. I never really know how the colours will turn out when dry. I seem to just hope for the best (lol)

I have not been about for a few weeks -- but I still like what you do--- great work

Saw this yesterday, Louise, and today it was on page... so I almost missed it. You know, there is a new fashion on the web: posting always at least 3 works at a time and sometimes the same one twice!!! Anyway, dear Louise, this is just stunning. Beau-ti-ful.

.....no masking fluid left Kirstie :)

Superb, Louise! Love the effect of the pristine white cottages against the gorgeous jewel-colored background.
