Harvest Time

Harvest Time

Evening light at the end of an autumn day - beautifully depicted with the shapes and colours. It is so hard to get that dusk light right but you have managed it perfectly. I love the pink glow in the little trees beside the houses and of course, the wonderfully glowing moon. A very strong painting both in tone and design.

I look forward to our posts Louise, your style is so distinctive and attractive. Your use of colour is brilliant. Love it!

Oranges and turqouise this time. A lovely mix. this is sooo nice, particularly like your fields.

This has a wonderful warm glow Louise and I love your harvest moon.

Many thanks Thea, Rebecca, Julie, Sarah and Fiona. :)

Another great. Glad to see the 'moon'stamp resurected!

Lovely warm colour and a sense of movement. I came across the work of Michael Morgan, RI, a while ago - if anyone comes close to your style, he does: in some of his work, anyway. Take a peek?

Another beautiful painting Louise, love the colours

Thanks Carole, Robert, Kirstie and Petra :)

Love the autumnal theme, Louise. There's something very tranquil about this scene, which is lovely.

Another great addition to your gallery Louise

Many thanks Seok, Michael and Glennis :)

Louise, I've just seen this and it looks good. And the square format is perfect for it. I too am a fan of Michael Morgan...Do take a look at his work.

Thank Ruth. After Robert's comment, I googled Michael Morgan and my thoughts were 'I wish' :)

Just taking a peek through your beautiful gallery and thought that I must put you right on your above comment. " I wish" should read as " Yes, I'm as good as him ". These hillside paintings are great and are always my favourites, and I know that you are trying different things but , to me, these are just magical. There! That was me spouting off for the day. Keep saying the mantra " I'm as good as him" and never forget it. You know what I'm like :) but, seriously , don't do yourself down, you could quite easily give the aforementioned artist a run for his money . Best wishes :)
