Thanks Fiona and Gudrun. Rather than bin a painting that doesn't quite work for me, I'd rather alter it, drastically in this case. They either work out or they don't. It's still not as I'd intended so it's a case of starting from scratch again until I'm happy. Loud sigh from me!!..lol

Gosh - that swirling green in the sky really works. I would never have thought of doing that! Lovely richness to this painting and what comes over strongly is your confidence in painting these dramatic scenes.
