I love it. How do those colours and verticals come into your head? I wish they would come into mine !

Brillint this one Louise, -- The colours do it for me-- anazing--- I can not paint em but I just love what you do. -- You make me very envious Keep on painting Chas

Another of your ones with an industrial feel to it. You seem to convey this by using strong vertical lines, as you see in cities, rather than the soft flowing lines that feature in your more pastoral works. The stronger and harder colours also help to convey that this is not a pretty village scene but a scene of a working environment. Glad the moon is still there though! It's a super painting and a lovely addition to your portfolio of this series.

Many thanks Sian, Charles and Thea. Sian, I used a hake brush here which just seems to lend itself to vertical brush strokes.

Yet another excellent painting, I think your unique style is well suited to the city, with all its intersecting abstract lines, maybe the start of a series of these?

Love the addition of the lock gates, super colours, and I'm glad you kept the moon in!

Thanks Kevin and Debs!

Everyone has said it already, an inspired change to your more rural scenes. Brilliant.

I like this too with the locks. The square paving slabs and windows and the stripes in the lock gates.

Complex and interesting painting - and as always, great sense of design.

Thank you Carole and Robert!

Another beautiful addition to your gallery, Louise, I love it!

Beautiful painting Louise, I agree with all the above comments, great colours and composition.

Marvellous cityscape, love the mixture of buildings and water. If that's one of the Rochdale 9, they're jolly hard work to get through.... :)

Thanks Lesley! You like my little bit of water? :) It's a very, very loose interpretaion of a lock located at Dale St in Manchester. It looks nothing at all like this but seeing it gave me the idea for this painting! :)

Thanks Mia and Petra!

You,re the only one who can make grit look appealing, Louise! Your composition and stunning colors never fail you.
