So atmospheric, a fantastic sky and the light on the gate is perfect.

A great re-work Lionel, wish some of mine were as successful! I agree with Val regarding the gate, the brightness leads the eye up into the sky.

Hi Lionel. Yes this works better. I like the gate and the trees are better too. They are different enough and not repetitive so well done on a great re-work. I feel that I can now walk into the painting and look beyond the gate.

Hi Lionel. So glad that you found my comments helpful - I'm pretty inexperienced & I know that I value comments and suggestions about the few pictures that I manage to complete & post. No, I'm not in S Australia but instead in SW Scotland. I almost said 'unfortunately', as we are being battered by repeated gales and torrential rain at the moment, so S Australia would be so much nicer. If it weren't for the cricket........
