Bill Cook

Biography

I'm a retired scientist (fisheries biologist), with a lifelong hobby in photography, but also a long term interest in drawing and painting. The first watercolour sketches that I can remember doing were of fungi, whiling away the time in front of the telly whilst waiting through the night for Apollo 11 to make history - I was 18. I surprised myself, but not much else happened until I retired at 60, and decided to give painting a real crack. The results? Well, the jury is still out. In fact, I haven't seen them for ages....... Are you still there folks...............
