I like this very much, Lionel, well done. Are you addicted to painting trees too? So you can join Kirstie, Denise and me in the "Trees-Anonymous-Club"!!! ps. We are not the AA!

really spontaneous and a great result - I do enjoy working at speed and its often the quick ones that turn out best.

I did enlarge it, and see what you mean! However, when I did, something interesting happened - it enabled me to see that you could make at least two paintings out of this one - that tree on the left and the mountain behind make a painting in its own right. I like your free brush strokes here, and you've conveyed the light very successfully.

I enlarged it too Lionel and it gives you as great view of the structure of the painting. I'm interested to read that you did most of it with palette knives, I have a couple that haven't been used yet and you are just the chap to give me a bit of advise about the do's and don't's......perhaps? I like this Lionel, nice one!

OOoo. Sharp intake of breath....re giving advice!! I'll reply on one of your works, Fiona, so that it appears in your e-mail. Many thanks indeed for your comments and to Mia, Michael and Robert. As you know, your comments are always very much appreciated. Thanks!

I like this!! Did get a funny feeling at the size!! Wish we could see all the lovely paintings like this as get every single detail, very interesting Lionel. Good marks in the foreground.

Thank you very much, Carole. I'm not sure how the super enlargement came about but it is a bit different !!

Super, super atmosphere, Lionel, and I love the palette!

This is acrylic on canvas board but it is only 7 X 5 inches, so it only took an hour or so. Sky and trees by brush, the rest with palette knife. Thanks for looking. Something very peculiar has happened to this posting. Don't try to enlarge it - you'll get the fright of your life. I think it has something to do with the fact that, for the first time, I scanned the picture. All the others have been too big for my printer/scanner.
