Brilliant detail work as ever Lewis. You have a fertile imagination, imagine onwards...(-:

Brilliant pen and ink work Lewis, a lot of detail gone into this 😃

To my taste or not, it still does not alter the fact this is brilliant.

Cool, your work always reminds me of Robert Crumb though not as lewd.

I totally agree with Gudrun. Super work.

Love the variety of marks you use to build up tones and shadows Lewis......super!

Another superb illustration Lewis, and of course, instantly recognisable as from you pen.

It's brilliant Lewis, I think I'll have to give pen and ink a go.

Thanks for the kind remarks, much appreciated.

Lewis ,I knew it was your work right away . Unique and brilliant pen work.

Another good one Lewis. I bet you love drawing these, they all seem to tell a story so your imagination must be in overdrive :) I love this. The detail is wonderful as is the pen work!

I have found you, Lewis! What brilliant work you do! I love all of it but especially the colourful illustrations. Epic, as my grandson would say! Thank you so much for your generous comment on my artwork. It means even more now that I have seen YOUR work!!!

Amazing piece Lewis, I love the detail in all your pictures.

Such a clever idea - and wonderful pen and ink work, Lewis

This is in homage to the 1950s/60s sci-fi pulp magazines (Astounding Stories etc), they often had naff stories but usually the illustrations were great. I liked the pen & ink and scratchboard drawings best. I used a photo of an actor for the face (forget who), I wasn't going for a likeness, just trying to get away from my stock 'made-up'face. The rest IS made up. Not something I'd hang on my wall, but fun to do.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
