Scary thought Lew but great illustrating..

The limited palette makes it even more scaring, Lewis. Super!

Tremendous stuff Lew, skilled illustration work indeed!

Great work Lew, the green makes it.

Thank you Jim, Mia, Alan and Dixie for your encouraging comments.

Really scary stuff well illustrated again, Lewis

The greens and greys are so effective at helping to extenuate the horror aspect. Love the tension, expressions and design of this painting Lewis.

The Green Man, in all his manifestations, has always given me the howling heeby-jeebies. Why? I don't know. But perhaps I understand it a little better now, having seen your grasping, groping, sinister Green Man. Run, kids, and don't stop running!

Thank you Thalia, Carole and Robert, for your great feedback. I made him scary even though he's supposed to be a benign character....his brother (?) is the nasty one...the Wild Man of the Woods.

I like this, and a timely post, the Green Man festival was just up the road from where I live, nice work, Lew

One I did a few weeks back, and wasn't happy with. With the passing of time I like it a little more. My version of the mythical Green Man. Nothing like the traditional version, but that was made-up too. He's supposed to be a benign creature, but I wouldn't like to meet mine.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
