and his eyes match the uniform - that is dedication. Nice one Lewis

Great character, Lewis, and like the border.

Beautifully painted Lewis.

Lew this is excellent, I have only read one Steampunk book and this is very how I viewed the characters. Excellent pen work once again .

Wonderful Lewis!

And it's a thumbs up from me'

Love the character and the imagination.

Great painting Lew, there are some weird and fantastic paintings of steam punk. I like the way you have portrayed this gentleman and the surrounding machinery is just brilliant !!!

Thanks very much to everybody for your encouraging comments.

Have not read Steampunk books, will check out. As said great border !

Great fun - also reminds me of the grandfather in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Super. Lewis special in every detail.

As always, Lewis, your drawing in this is superb. Love it!

Well, Lewis, I have to plead ignorance....steampunk? Something to do with machinery? It does sound "cool"( a word which I'm sure isn't now). You must work at some speed to get down all this great detail!

Must make note....read on down before commenting🥴

Very effective use of coloured pencils and pen Lewis.

Super details and colour Lewis. That metal looks really convincing.

Thanks again to everybody for your comments, they are very much appreciated.

This is great lewis, I like steampunk, love the fashion.

We once visited a stately home where we saw a large gathering of people dressed in steam punk gear - fascinating to see them. Nearly all wore goggles, some with cogwheels on! Love your painting.

If you don't know, Steampunk is a Sci-Fi genre where science hasn't advanced beyond steam power. Weird machines, and weird vaguely Victorian style clothing. A mock, made-up, portrait done in coloured pencils and pen. A4.

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
