So true, excellent.

Great characters and what you write is spot on!

Love it! Very topical and true (as one oldy to another)

Lol. Brilliant. Fab drawings Lewis 🙂

Terrific Lewis, even the baby is ga ga-ing on the phone!

You are a master of observation Lew this is spot on , I think some people even talk on the phone in their sleep. My twenty three year old granddaughter said she can’t imagine what life was like before mobile phone , it must have been boring.

Great observation Lewis, so true to life.

I just wonder who that 'old fogey' without a mobile phone, in the foreground, could possibly be. He's a great observational addition to the scene.

Such acute observation Lewis and so cleverly put together.

Brilliantly observed and illustrated Lewis

Thanks for all your comments. I'd been to a shopping precinct and saw a chap walking along staring at his phone and chatting, he very nearly walked into a concrete pot housing a small tree. People-watching now has an extra element with mobile phones.

Great conversations, ha ha ! And as always your characters are very good. Whenever we go out more people sit looking at phones than talking. Might as well stay at home !!!

Great observations and characters Lewis all very true.

You make me glad I don’t get out much Lewis …

On the beach, on a beautiful day ( even if cold ) we see people on their phone...aaagh! They are missing so much! Running with earphones in..pushing a pram..with earphones in....we are in a different world, living a different life.

Lewis , thanks for reinforcing my decision not to have one of those things -my daughters have given me 3, the first two sat until their batteries died , the last is still in its box - the land line stays tethered when I go out. You have certainly summed up the world with this one. At least they are good for a laugh - like it

that could be me - - bottom fellow with hat and scowling face - can't remember seeing you there with a pencil !!!

Finger on the pulse of our times Lewis- such excellent observations in your sketches!

The mobile phone, like the internet is a wonderful tool. I find it depressing when I see people living on either. Soon no one will know how to interact with human beings, hence all this anxiety .... Going for a walk in the countryside, with plugs in your ears? Why?

This is great Lewis. I asked for a writing pad in the post office to write a letter on good quality paper, guess what, they didn't sell them. Unbelievable.

How times change eh! Brilliant portrayal of life today…

Excellent, Lewis - great observations!

Great - my favourite is the right hand figure - obviously some sort of a spy!

I’m proud to say, I don’t and won’t live like this…..even if it’s just to be awkward. Nice one Lewis.

You've really captured the spirit of the age, Lewis. Superbly drawn, as usual!

In any busy shopping area you'll get something like this. Fragmented pieces of other people's chat. I imagine if our words did hang in the air above us like text, in some areas we'd barely see the sun. Mobile phones are wonderful things. Mobile phones are a curse. This is the old fogey in me speaking. (A3 sketchbook - coloured pencil).
