Like the combinations of blues & the lighting.

Really like hues as well as the drawing itself of course

Love all the detail, it looks great.

I like this Lew , the figure is superb there is something about your work in blue that is very appealing.

Something happens when you use your palette of blue Lewis. It seems to emphasise the pathos of the characters, entirely appropriate for Bob Cratchit. Amazing work as always.

Wonderful drawing, Lewis.

Thanks very much for your comments. Not sure why I choose blue, these could be in ordinary pencil...I just like blue, I guess.

Excellent piece,Lewis

Superb Lewis, these Dickens' characters of 'yours' should be in a book and made available to school children, they would love them as much as we do.

Nice work Lew. The colour combination's great for the image.

I find your blue Dickensian characters really "fit" the period and are so how we imagine them.

Love the highlights and shadows Lewis, and that little bit violet-ish shade in there too.

The blue suits these characters well. So much detail in them too. And my favourite colour is blue!

Another wonderful drawing Lewis.

Thanks again to all who've commented, I really appreciate it.

Just seen this one - really like the colours and the almost ghostly light from the candle.

Love the drawing and the blues.

Such an engaging figure of Bob Cratchit the pose with his spindle-like fingers warming them by candle-light, his wiry form and that insatiable look on his face and shadow express this Dickens' character so well! Fabulous Comic Art Lewis, well done!

Your illustration reminds me the mood of Terry Pratchett novels

The walls are a thin watercolours the rest is coloured pencils. Thought I'd use three different blues...wasn't sure once I'd started, but too late to change my mind. Think it's OK now.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
