Puffins

What a charming painting, a super subject brilliantly captured.

Recognised this as one of yours straight away, Kim. It has that lovely colourful looseness that I find so attractive. Puffins are wonderful subjects for a painting with their dumpy shape and that marvellous beak. Your painting has done them proud. (I love puffins too and I have a lovely tile mural of puffins fishing over my Aga - always cheers me up when I see it.)

Gorgeous. I have been pondering this for a while. Does it make a huge difference whether the paper is traditional white or extra white. I suppose it depends on the effect you're looking for ...

I've been 'blocked' for several days with much on my mind and no tranquility to paint. Then along came these 4 chaps and suddenly a bit of fun and diversion. Thanks so much for approving: the combination of painting something, however modest, and sharing it with such lovely people is a true gift.
