Jug, Persimon and Plum 2015
Oil on Canvas, 24 x 30 cm. I set the beautiful warm colours of the persimon against the cooler colours of the jug and more sombre plum, a darker background adding to chiaroscuro effect. I felt this concept helped convey the "ripeness" of the fruit that were duly consumed after the painting was finished. Signed lower RHC.
