I'm amazed that you could paint this in situ. Last time I was there it was so windy that I could hardly stand up. I tried taking a photo, but i could not hold the camera still! Well done!

Beautifully captured Keith. The textures in the cliffs and the mine are wonderful, but the sea is outstanding. Well done.

Reminds me of holidays in Cornwall love the painting

Oil on mdf board, 24 x 30 cm. Painted on-site 2014 and shows one of the twin towers at Botallack Tin Mine, Cornwall---featured in the Poldark TV series . Conditions were slightly precarious and, as usual on this coast, windy and loud with crash of waves and calling of seabirds. Signed lower RHC. The challenge was to depict the old tower in-situ as part of the steep cliffs and swirling ocean -- a reminder of the past when lives were lost eking out the ore from underground.
